Garden Rooms Scotland is a family-owned business that specialises in the design, manufacture and build of garden rooms. So whatever space you have, we can produce a garden room to suit your individual requirements.

Our garden rooms are designed to comply with the latest regulations and come under permitted development rights, so you most likely won’t require planning permission.

Our Process
Enquiry
It all begins with an initial conversation. Either face to face or by the phone, although we strongly recommend a visit to our showrooms first.
You can ask as many questions as you like. We can give you advice on all the different aspects, regarding design, size, doors and windows configuration etc. Our staff will be more than happy to assist you and share their knowledge about our garden rooms with you!
Design
As every Garden Room is uniquely designed for each client. We produce floor and elevation plans, offering our customers a full design service. This gives you the chance to see on-screen what your garden room would look like. You can then change features and then get a fixed quote for your design.
Survey & Quote
The next step would be for us to book you an appointment with our experienced surveyor to carry out a free*, no-obligation Site Survey. The Site Survey gives you the chance to see your garden room within the outside space. To let you really understand what it is you are ideally looking for. This will also help us to assess your site including ground conditions, electrical services, access, location & design. Based on your requirements and the survey, our surveyor will then be able to confirm your garden room design, to suit your style, property, and budget.
*Our Site Survey service is free of charge for the local area, but a cost can be involved for further afield which will be refunded against the final cost.
Deposit
When you’re happy with your garden room design and fixed quote, contact us to confirm your order. At this stage, we require a 40% deposit. This secures your place in our schedule and allows us to start the manufacture of your Garden Room.
Manufacture
Once the design of your garden room is complete, we manufacture your timber kit in our Dumfries based workshop. Off-site fabrication of you garden room timber kit, makes erection on site easier and quicker. All our materials are sourced from local suppliers.
Pre-delivery payment
After we confirm the installation schedule, prior to delivery, we will require a 40% payment.
Delivery & Build
During the garden room build, the team will consult with you at every stage of the construction. Depending on the size of your garden room this will take approximately 7 to 10 days to complete
Completion Payment
Once your garden room is completed, we will walk around with you and confirm that you are happy with your finished room.
